Introduction
Widely used synthetic corticosteroid, used probably in most indications except parental.
Clinical Use
Indications
- Anti-inflammatory
- Bronchial Asthma
- COPD - unlicensed in UK as may reduce exacerbations but does not improve lung function
- Allergic rhinitis
- Vasomotor rhinitis
Administration
Oral
Inhalation
topical eg ear and eye drops, nasal spray.
