Carl Reinhold August Wunderlich
Professor Carl Reinhold August Wunderlich (4 August 1815 - 25 September 1877) was a German physician who in 1842 published an influential appeal to the utilisation of the scientific method in medicine. He wrote the seminal work on human temperature homostasis. In 1846 he became professor at Tübingen and moved to Leipzig as Professor of Medicine in 1850. He was quite influential in the development of German psychiatry services at the end of the 19th Century.
