Two sorts:-
Those used in anaesthetics to reverse neuromuscular blockade, and those intended to affect the central nervous system to improve mentation.
The latter are licensed for use in the treatment of mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. In long term use they appear to have a limited, if any benefit, but some patients with various dementia presentations, not necessarily Alzheimer's disease do seem to have behavioural benefits in the short to medium term. Interestingly they may also improve memory in those with drug induced memory impairment such as found with cocaine[1] or cannabis[2]
