A condition thought to be similar to Guillain Barré syndrome, but far more indolent. A variant is multifocal acquired demyelinating sensory and motor neuropathy (MADSUM) and it is closely related to multifocal motor neuropathy (MMN). Treatment is with immunogobulin or plasma exchange. Some respond to steroids and other immunosuppressives including biologics can work.
