Cyproterone acetate is used to treat:
- Prostatic cancer
- Severe hypersexuality
- In combination with ethinylestradiol as as oral contraceptive (Dianette™) in those with acne or severe hirsutism. It is effectively a form of combined oral contraceptive pill as cyproterone has progestogenic effects in addition to being an anti-androgen.
