Medical

Clinical Evidence has a chapter on diarrhoea. In developed countries antimotility agents are deemed ‘likely to be beneficial’, while antibiotics are considered a ‘trade off between benefits and harm’. Finally, it classes oral rehydration solutions as having ‘unknown effectiveness’. The chapter also covers travellers diarrhoea and treatment in developing countries.
