Not a very effective anti-hypertensive drug, which is moderately effective at relaxing the bladder neck.
A later choice in middle-aged hypertensive parous women than in men of 60 with borderline BP and nocturia.

- Phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors - definitely with unselective alphablockers
- Ace inhibitors and Angiotensin receptor inhibitors
- Alcohol
- Betablockers
- Calcium channel blockers
- Diuretics
- General anaesthetic
- MAOIs

- Hypotension especially on first dose or high dose titration
