Evans' syndrome

Immune-mediated thrombocytopenia and concurrent haemolytic anaemia (positive Coombs' test, i.e. direct antiglobulin test). Aetiology unknown.[1]

Treatment includes steroids, other immunosuppressives, rituximab, splenectomy and stem cell transplatation (see review).[2]
