  • Flexor digiti minimi longus is a rare anatomical variation in which the muscle arises from the distal quarter of the superficial flexor compartment, its tendons running across the ulnar nerve and ulnar artery to reach the hypothenar eminence
  • May be attenuated or absent, in which case abductor digiti minimi is larger in size
