Amanita muscaria. containing the toxin muscarine which activates the parasympathetic system via muscarinic cholinergic receptors. It has the opposite effect to atropine (which is anti-muscarinic).

Recognised by red cap with spots on the top. A skirt on the stem. White spore-containing gills and a bulbous bottom.
