Hasn't acetaminophen been adopted as the official name (for what most of us know of as paracetamol) in the UK? --Penglish 10:06, 11 June 2007 (BST) I hope not but of course medical cultural imperialism might triumph. This is a clear case of USA going it alone as it did with pethadine (meperidine). The rINN is paracetamol.

Only Adrenaline and Nor-adrenaline have remained as BANs for safety reasons otherwise UK and Ireland have adopted rINNs. I imagine matters may remain confusing in Canada.Mlj 23:31, 11 June 2007 (BST)
