Subpages allow you to create pages that are specified in a classical directory like hierarchy and can be linked to by specifing only the subpage name in any text on the parent page. So a subpage for this page would be called Help:Subpages/example and can be accessed by typing on this page or another subpage of Help:Subpages /example but from other top level pages by typing the full reference Help:Subpages/example.

  • Subpages have a link at the top of their page to the parent page.
  • You can use subpages to archive old discussion as we do with Talk:Main Page which has links like Talk:Main Page/main-02 at its top.

All this works in the main and talk namespaces but not in the help namespace as it has not been enabled (yet)
