Interleukin-8(IL-8, K60, NAF, GCP1. LECT, LUCT, NAP1, CXCL8, GCP-1, LYNAP, MDNCF, MONAP, NAP-1, SCYB8, TSG-1, AMCF-I, b-ENAP) is a 72 amino acid protein produced from a precursor protein of 99 amino acids coded by the IL8 gene which maps to 4q13.3 . The receptor of this chemokine are high affinity interleukin-8 receptor A and high affinity interleukin-8 receptor B.
