In the head and neck, there are three types of lymphangiomas. Treatment of lymphangiomas is surgical excision.
- Simple lymphangioma. These are thin walled channels that occur in the lips, cheeks and the floor of the mouth.
- Cavernous lymphangiomas. These are dilated lymphatic spaces that occur in the lips, cheeks and the floor of the mouth.
- Cystic Hygromas. These are cysts of varying size. They usually occur in the lower neck.
