Lymphopenia

Lymphopenia is a lower than normal lymphocyte count. Can be caused by a number of conditions, but most characteristically by some viral infections including HIV, particularly when it has progessed to AIDS, and connective tissue disease such as SLE where it is present in over 40% with proven diagnosis[1] .
