Myokymia is continuous muscle movement, generally insufficient to cause movement at a joint. It differs subtly from fasciculations which are coarser, slower, more undulating and occur over a wider local area.[1]

It is seen in some of the familial episodic ataxias, acquired neuromyotonia (Isaacs syndrome) and can be induced by nerve damage, say by radiotherapy.
