Pharmacokinetics is the study of the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination of drugs.

Distribution

Lipid-soluble drugs may show a biphasic half-life with an initial decrease in blood levels due to re-distribution. The subsequent half-life due to elimination is longer.
