A childhood exanthem, heralded by a larger patch

Harmless rash of unknown aetiology. Herald patches followed by a rash which lasts for 6-8 weeks and resolves without treatment. Affected individuals tend to be between the ages of 10 to 35. More common in winter and spring suggesting it may be a post-viral phenomenon.
