Refractory anaemia with ringed sideroblasts

Refractory anaemia with ringed sideroblasts(RARS) is one of the FAB (French-American-British) subclassifications of myelodysplasia. According to the ICD10 WHO classification it is one of the two main subtypes of refractory anaemia:

  • With ringed sideroblasts (FAB: RARS)
  • Without ringed sideroblasts (FAB: RA)
