Sexual practices that reduce or minimise the probability of harm, particularly sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancy.
Safer sexual practices include:
- Abstinence
- Be faithful: minimise the number of sexual partners
- Condoms: use condoms or other barrier methods of contraception
- Avoidance of practices with higher risks of infection
