- Yes I agree with max. We could do with more on alcohol withdrawal as although the key points often done badly are here, the textbooks can be very wrong. But I haven't read a good review of subject for at least 5 years which means I am a bit out of date. For example Yank surgeons have published recently a protocol using iv ethanol ! [1] which has raised concerns[2] but I haven't time to chase up original articles to see if this useful addition to evidence base for management. Mlj 15:21, 29 July 2007 (BST)
