Expression seems significant...

The incorporation ws a long time ago, one should avoid being too definite about what the bargain was.

I don't recall which of Dawkins' books it was - there is discussion around the incorporation in The Ancestor's Tale but not AFAIK the competition although that seems sensible.Midgley 14:54, 4 January 2006 (CET)

I'm almost certain that it was The Selfish Gene. Not certain enough to put it in though so I'll check when I go home on Thursday. Rupert 14:59, 4 January 2006 (CET)
My mistake - sorry about that. It was Bryan Sykes in Adam's Curse, chapter 11 - The separation of the sexes. Rupert 20:36, 5 January 2006 (CET)
Maybe I should read it. Is it in the same vein as Dawkins? Apropos of this, shall we have a booklist by topic? Midgley 22:02, 5 January 2006 (CET)
I found Dawkins got a little repetitive after a few books, but Bryan Sykes managed to write an interesting book just about the Y chromosome. I don't think it was as hard going as Dawkins, and included the personal tale of him finding out he was distantly related to another Mr. Sykes, and the work that led to.
