Etymology

Don't know Latin, but various Google hits suggest:[1][2]

Rima = fissure, cleft, chink

Some sources seem to put Rhy together with the root Rheo, which means flow (diarrhoea), but I can't quite see the connection. Mark ong 15:06, 30 May 2007 (BST)
