Interesting one:see my DUNK posting. My hospital managers have not allowed me to keep a new sotalol patient on CCU for the necessary minimium of 3 days for years now. I will be discussing with our local cardiologists who have exactly same problem with beds and worse outpatient followup issues than I do.
