Toxocara

Toxocara canis is a roundworm parasite of dogs and cats which occasionally infects humans. The larvae can cause significant trouble through ocular larva migrans or visceral larva migrans.

The larva take 2-3 weeks to become active after the eggs are excreted by the animal host.
