Van Gieson's staining

Photomicrograph showing Van Gieson's staining with haematoxylin counter-staining, sometimes abbreviated to HVG.

Histological stain, usually to highlight collagen and connective tissue which stains pink/red. Nuclei stain brown to black and most other components stain yellow.
