Zn. Metal element. Used in small quantitites in metabolism. May be good for colds. Discourages acne bacteria.

Required for the activation of clotting Factor XI

Requirement 2mg for infants to 14mg for teenagers per day.

Red meat and poultry are our main source, phytate in some plants interferes with absorption of zinc, beans, nuts and dairy produce are also good sources.
